The first 10 reports require no purchase. Rewards count reports paid entirely from purchased credit; trial and bonus reports don’t count.
1. Register and verify your email
Register free with your name and email to receive your first 10 reports. Company and phone are optional. No password or payment details are needed to register. An email already registered does not receive another trial.
Open Prepare a report and request a verification code using your registered email. If it is registered, a code will be emailed to you, usually within about a minute. Search your inbox and spam folder for SalesPlan verification code.
Enter the six-digit code. Codes expire after 15 minutes; successful verification authorizes this browser for 24 hours. You can use another email or verify again when needed. The verified account pays for the report, regardless of who is selected as seller or buyer.
2. Describe your offering and choose two people
Enter the product or service you want to sell. A short, specific description helps make the advice relevant. If you leave it blank, you must acknowledge that you’re requesting general introductory guidance.
Additional context (optional)
Expand the arrow below the offering field when you have useful details to add. Leave it collapsed and both fields blank for a straightforward report request.
- Background & previous conversations: prior contact, relevant background about the person or company, or a useful email/chat excerpt.
- What should this brief focus on? questions to investigate, a suspected reason your offering could fit, objections to address or the next step you want.
For example: “We spoke last month about inconsistent preparation for sales calls.” Then: “Explore whether our workshop could help; suggest an opening that acknowledges that conversation.”
Examples: what to enter for a more useful brief
A follow-up after earlier contact
Background: “We met at a trade show last month. They said onboarding new salespeople takes too long. They asked me to follow up in November.”
Focus: “Help me acknowledge that conversation and ask whether onboarding is still a priority. Suggest a small next step rather than an immediate purchase.”
A pasted email or chat
Background: “Excerpt from their email: ‘We already have a CRM, but the team still researches each prospect manually. We are not looking to replace our CRM.’”
Focus: “Explore whether our offering could complement their CRM. Suggest questions about preparation time and avoid a replacement pitch.”
A possible fit you want assessed
Background: “My understanding is that the company is opening additional locations. I have not independently confirmed this.”
Focus: “If expansion is supported by the research, assess whether our training service could help maintain consistency. Include reasons it might not fit and questions to test the idea.”
An objection or constraint
Background: “In our previous call, they said they prefer building tools internally and have little time for implementation.”
Focus: “Suggest a respectful way to explore build-versus-buy. Address implementation effort without inventing capabilities or promising savings.”
A first conversation with no previous contact
Background: Leave blank, or add a relevant detail you know and explain where it came from.
Focus: “Prepare for a 15-minute introductory call. Help me understand their priorities before pitching, with three useful questions and a low-pressure opening.”
Tips for useful notes
- Keep the product or service description in the offering field above; use these fields for context and emphasis.
- Prefer a few specific sentences over a long history. Include when contact happened, what was actually said and what you want to achieve.
- Separate facts you observed, quotes from the person and your own assumptions. Identify dates or sources when you know them.
- Paste only the relevant excerpt. Remove signatures, private contact details, passwords, account numbers and unrelated information about other people.
- Ask for useful questions, counterarguments or a next step. Avoid asking the report to prove a sale is likely or present an assumption as fact.
- Describe preferences such as a short call, a follow-up email or a consultative tone. The report offers draft language to review; it does not contact anyone.
- These notes help tailor the existing report; they do not create a separate research task or guarantee that an additional fact will be verified. Check important claims yourself.
- If you have nothing useful to add, leave both fields blank. Extra text is not required for a report.
Each field allows 4,000 characters. Notes are retained with the report and used as unverified requester context, not independent research. Suggested fit is assessed against the evidence; notes do not override findings or force a positive rating. Include only necessary information and leave out passwords and sensitive personal details.
Recovery keeps the original report reference and notes; it does not start another paid report. To change the notes after submitting, deliberately request a new report. See Privacy for retention information.
- Seller: the person the offering comes from.
- Buyer: the person you want to approach.
Search by name, location, company or title, and select the correct person from the dropdown. Check the headline and location; people can share the same name. Choose Change to select someone else. Selecting a person does not generate a report.
Tip: use part of their LinkedIn profile URL. In either the seller or buyer search box, try the distinctive profile identifier after /in/. For example, if the URL is linkedin.com/in/alex-morgan-123abc/, search for alex-morgan-123abc. This can help pinpoint someone more precisely than a common name. You can also combine that identifier with a company, location or title. It is still a search, not automatic confirmation: check the returned name, company and role before selecting the person.
A new search usually takes about 15 seconds. Successful recent searches can return quickly from a 24-hour cache in the same browser; reused results are labeled. Search results can be incomplete or outdated.
Refresh seller research asks for fresh seller research when generating a new report. Otherwise saved seller research may be reused. Each new report requests buyer research. A repeat download of an existing report does not refresh its sources.
3. Generate and download your brief
Review the offering and selected people, then select Generate and download PDF. Generation usually takes about a minute; some research takes longer. The spinner means the page is waiting, not that a particular percentage is complete. Avoid submitting another report while waiting.
When the brief is ready, use Download PDF. Your browser may download it automatically, use your usual Downloads folder, or ask where to save it. Keep your own copy somewhere private.
The PDF starts with an executive meeting brief: prospect and offering, fit and evidence ratings, an opening line, three questions and important unknowns. Full background, rationale and suggested language follow in the meeting notes. Missing information is identified as a gap. Use the report as preparation and check important facts; suggested approaches are not promises of a buyer’s needs or interest.
New reports may include a company snapshot with industry, reported size and headquarters or office locations when the business can be reliably matched. Company information may be reused for up to seven days and includes its collection date. A company headquarters does not establish where an individual works.
Opportunity fit rates how relevant your offering appears: Strong, Moderate, Weak or Insufficient information. Evidence quality separately describes the available professional and company source coverage. A high rating is not a prediction of a sale or an independent audit of the sources. Confirm the prospect’s needs, budget, timing and interest in conversation. Without a specific offering or adequate research, fit is shown as insufficient information.
If generation takes longer, keep the report reference and use Check status for that same report. The page shows the actual state, last check time and available billing information. Checking status and downloading the same saved report do not start a replacement report.
Review suggestions before using them
Reports help you prepare; they do not certify facts or guarantee a sales result. AI-assisted research and suggestions can be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, even when a source or evidence rating is shown. Verify the person, company and important facts, then review and adapt any suggested message before contacting someone or sharing the report.
You are responsible for how you use the report and for your outreach and decisions. Read the report disclaimer and responsibility terms before relying on suggestions.
Credit and refills
Your first 10 reports are free. New reports cost $0.50 each. Refills are $10 for 20 reports, $20 for 40 reports, or $40 for 80 reports. There is no subscription.
Purchase credit securely on the refill page. Card details are handled by Stripe inside the checkout page. A browser success message or return alone does not confirm credit; wait for backend-confirmed payment and the updated balance.
Report credit is reserved while work runs. Completed reports are charged; incomplete or failed reports can be refunded. An uncertain outcome may retain the reservation until reviewed. Read the billing state shown for your report.
Suggestions and reviews
Open Rewards & feedback on the home page, or email salesplan@recapito.io.
Send an improvement suggestion
If we review and adopt your suggestion, we manually add $5 credit for 10 reports. Include your registered email and the problem it solves. Eligibility and award terms.
Share an honest review
Positive and critical feedback are welcome. Reviews receive no credit, payment or reward, and are separate from suggestion awards. We ask permission before publication. Review policy.
If something needs attention
I haven’t received my code
Allow about a minute, search for “SalesPlan verification code,” and check spam. Confirm you used your registered email. Request another code when the resend button is available.
I can’t find the right person
Add their company, location or title and search again. If you know part of their LinkedIn profile URL, try its distinctive identifier after /in/ as a search term. Do not choose someone just because the name matches. A search that fails is different from a search with no matches.
My report says running or uncertain
Keep its reference and check that report’s status. A connection timeout does not prove research stopped. If recovery is needed, contact us with the reference before ordering a replacement.
Checkout or payment confirmation is delayed
Use Check payment status or Retry checkout to recover the existing checkout. Start a new checkout is a separate purchase action and does not cancel an earlier payment. Keep the original reference if the outcome is uncertain.
Who keeps the report?
You control your downloaded copy. SalesPlan currently also retains report content and research for recovery and reuse. Downloading does not delete the server’s records. See Privacy for what is stored and how to contact us about it.
Need a hand?
